I was taking a stroll the other day, seeing as I have to move my new knee and all, when out of nowhere, a tiny little girl emerged from the bushes. You can see how tiny she is compared to the flower pot in the background. She offered me an apple at, what I considered, too high a price. She persisted, and after much back and forth, we could not reach an acceptable price:She simply wanted more than I was willing to pay. I bid her ado and began walking away. I stopped and turned back apologizing for not getting her name. "Eve," she replied. Do you have any idea how fast you can run with a new knee?

This is a shot taken from the top floor of a parking garage. The building in the center of the photo is most interesting. It appears, to the untrained eye, to be a modern church or possibly a citadel of higher learning. Any guesses? It is home to the largest medical malpractice law firm in the area. It is even more beautiful close-up. The parking garage where I took this photo belongs to the largest hospital in the area. It "pays" to be near your client base.

This is my contribution to the new Sunday Bridge Series launched by Louis La Vache of San Francisco Bay Daily Photo. Hope you find it interesting and join in. At least drop by Louis's site and see his shot and click on the links to the other team players. Pour a cup of coffee, put on your jersey and let's go. This is the 11th Avenue Bridge. It is very old (by Ft. Lauderdale standards). Construction was completed in 1925. It pivots (swings) when boats need to pass. They don't make them like this anymore.

The problems with Blogger persist. I've heard from several people that are experiencing the same problem. Will try again tomorrow. Technology is a wonderful thing, till it isn't.

Having a problem with Blogger. Hope they are resolved soon.
While out photo hunting early yesterday morning, I passed this house. I was struck by the door. Certainly unique;a 'one of a kind.' The light coming into the house is the rising Sun. The house sits on the beach and the Atlantic Ocean is in their back yard. "Life's good," and no, it's not my house.

This particular mural caught my attention. Not because it was so interesting. No, I thought it was rather primitive. It looked more like a child did it rather than a "mural" artist that we seem to have an abundance of in this area. It is a very large work, and not the usual subject matter that has been seen on this blog. On another note, I spoke to a car dealer today who is willing to take the Yugo in on trade. He has a lovely Sterling that he says should meet my needs. I'm thinking...

Many masterpieces required countless hours to reach that which we admire so much. Have you ever wondered if there were different versions? Perhaps, something different the artist rejected. The above works by some very famous artists demonstrate this point. Each is close to the art we have come to admire. Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and each of these ladies is holding beauty.

While walking around the Art Fair, I couldn't shake the feeling someone or something was watching me. You know, that feeling you get as the hair on the back of your neck stands up. I turned on my camera. Relying on my "cat-like reflexes," I spun around snapped the shutter and ran back to my Yugo and beat a hasty retreat. From the safety of the FTLDP Corporate offices, I was able to see my suspicions were confirmed. Always trust your instincts!

This was one of my favorite booths at the Art Fair. I especially like the first guy riding a bike carrying balloons and a golf bag. Another case of art imitating life. The other pieces are interesting, as well, but no golf bags. A big thank you goes out to Tricia @ Bluff Area Daily for bestowing me with The Sunshine Award. You are all invited to the banquet;my treat.

You never know who you will run into or who you will meet at one of these art fairs. The couple above met and instantly knew they had much in common. They asked me to take a picture for posterity. I was only too happy to oblige. Good looking couple, don't you think?

You never know what you are going to see at an art fair. You expect to see art, of course, but not a circus. I found this particular herd of various species grazing contentedly;just minding their own business. A short while later, I encountered a man who appeared to be rather agitated. I inquired as to why on such a beautiful morning would he be so. He said his name was Noah and something about something missing from his ship.

There was a huge art fair last weekend in the downtown area. There will be shots from time to time of various works that I was able to take. It seems that artists don't like to have their works photographed. The artist pictured above took great umbrage at my shooting. He looked extremely agitated and tried to give me the evil eye. Apparently, I made him so angry his hair stood up. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get some quality shots. It is very hard to focus when you are being chased by a mob of angry artists. They couldn't scare me. After all, I drive a Yugo.

While driving around early Sunday morning, I passed by this store. I would assume they have monkey supplies, but maybe not. The name alone conjures up all sorts of other possibilities. They weren't open at that early hour and the windows were too reflective to see inside. So, more research is needed or we can just let our imagination's run wild.

This is the last of our series. The Yugo is ready to head off in pursuit of new discoveries. I'm not sure we will be able to top these murals, but someone must take up the challenge. I especially like this particular one. It seems more like an Audubon painting to me. It must be wonderful to have such talent.

This is our third bird shot of this series (how many birds are in this mural?). Coincidence you say. No more a coincidence that the Yugo breaking down in front of this building. Before you know it, she will be 'flying' down the road again;the Yugo, not the building.
