BONEFISH GRILL

Any guesses where this piece of art was hanging? There is a prize to the person that guesses correctly. Fish Market? No! Sushi Restaurant? No! Bait and Tackle Shop? Wrong again! Give up? It was adorning the building housing a furniture store. It housed a motorcycle shop before the furniture store took over. Now that I can see.

  1. It has to be a bar and grill--or--a weight loss place. Poor skinny fish. MB

  2. This is funny. It is wonderful that it hasn't anything to do with the furniture store, and even with the former shop. This is pure art on show for the passer-by!

  3. Ha! I like signs that stuck around long after they served their original purpose.

  6. Ha! The symbolism eludes me but I'm sure it meant something deep to someone...maybe.

  7. I like the way the light is casting its shadow on the wall behind it!

  8. Maybe no one has felt like taking it down. Strange for motorcycles or furniture.

  9. Reminds me of my fascination with fish skeletons on the shore of Lake Michigan. They and this sign are wonderfully intriguing. Thank you!

  11. There's a Red Fish Grill in New Orleans that has a similar looking wall hanging

  12. The question is why?

It doth look like the symbol for a Bonefish Grill of which we have one in Ocala. Never eaten there, but I've heard it's pretty good seafood.

Your entire post was a little fishy today!

  13. Maybe they sell over-stuffed chairs so bony people will feel more comfortable!

  14. The sculpture made a nice sign for that restaurant. I like it.

  15. I always think of deboning fish when I am shopping for furniture. It would draw me right in!

  16. As a thumbnail image I thought it looked like a fossil, but then it would have had to have adorned an antique store, not a furniture store.
