EVER HEAR THE STORY OF THE TORTOISE AND THE HERON?

I make the assumption that this fine flying fellow is a Heron. Some have speculated he may be an Egret. He was flying a little too high and a little too fast to inquire. We do know he is headed East with beautiful flying conditions. Bon Voyage!

  1. I hope you're give equal time to the tortoise! I wonder if there's a tortoise 'up there' somewhere. Head's up to you!

  6. Funny man. I know egrets keep us from doing tower work in the Florida market. This one is going to be there for a while.

  7. I am just waiting for the tortoise. If anyone can find one, it's you!

I sort of like the heron/egret though.

  14. He makes a lovely sculpture - the tortise is outclassed in both speed AND style!

I love the cat and the pelican - the whale though does seem more appropriate for New England!

  15. I love this series. I got a photo of a flying fish weather vane on top of the Museum of Natural History in London, but my zoom wasn't long enough to do it justice. I'll probably post it someday anyway on the "Animal Art Along the Way" blog.
