A LEAP OF FAITH
This is an interesting wood sculpture I found in the country. A leaping deer, nicely reproduced. If you enlarge the photo, you will see he has an admirer. We should all be so lucky.

The dog and I are perplexed by the hind legs.
ReplyDeleteI just love the admirer. I would have expected him to be ready to pounce though.
ReplyDeleteBoy, some people are so clever. MB
ReplyDeleteI like this sculpture so much. You find great treasures all the time.

great timing
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, this is neat. I guess that's an admirer, not a predator, since I believe black bears are herbivore....or...?
ReplyDeleteOK, I thought for a moment this was real. A really good sculpture (or what is it) and a brilliant idea for a pose.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! :-D I'd love to see some of these. I like the expression on the admirer's face!
ReplyDeleteGood thing he isn't real, he's awful skinny!
ReplyDeletegreat find and capture!

Public Transportation. For the love. All we have around here are few unreliable buses. I might have to pass!
ReplyDeleteThis is incredibly beautiful! I'll bet the bear was done by the same person. The flow of the deer is magnificent.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good one.
ReplyDeleteI guess if that admirer were admiring me I'd be leaping away in a hurry too!
ReplyDeletewhoever carved him did a great job, looks like they used one big piece of driftwood
ReplyDeleteFantastic. Love the antlers.
ReplyDeleteMy first thoughts were, who and why? But then I just enjoyed the pretty carving :D
ReplyDeleteOut of the corner of your eye driving by, those could look real!
ReplyDeleteI saw the bear, no wonder why he's leaping! :-) It's a beautiful sculpture.
