While the drums are beating, there is constant, what only can be described as, screaming. It is a sound most of us cannot make. This gentleman was very into his dance. I really like his taste in footwear.

ReplyDeleteHe looks like a very serious contender. I wish I was there. Did you record any of the music? MB
ReplyDeleteI remember the ear-splitting screams. I think I heard my boss hit that tone once...thankfully not at me. hehe.
ReplyDeleteYes, he's in the powwow zone! What kind of shoes are those? Keds?
ReplyDeleteScreaming I can do without. And re footwear - the most important thing is comfort! Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteEven though he's not spinning, there's something in his body language that reminds me of whirling dervishes.
ReplyDeleteIt also looks like there's lots of beadwork on his costume. Your photos the last few days have caught the ceremonial dances in action very well.
ReplyDeleteWas the screaming a result of the FTLDP Staff limo passing by?
ReplyDeleteThe inquiring mind of «Louis la Vache» wants to know...
I'm amazed that he is able to balance that headgear!
ReplyDeleteHe could use those on the snow!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and colourful!

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how different the outfits look. They all are fantastic!
ReplyDeletehis boots are hot!
ReplyDeleteWhen I see people in these shoes in warm weather, I always wonder how they can bear the heat.
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to talk me out of attending a pow wow? I'm not into screaming.
ReplyDeleteThose remind me of the furry apres-ski boots of the 70's that we used to call Wookie boots.
ReplyDeleteNice action photos. I think I have a photo from Taos of the girl from yesterdays post.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing shots. I love the action in this one.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how warm it is to wear all that!
