ANYTHING FOR ART'S SAKE
There was a huge art fair last weekend in the downtown area. There will be shots from time to time of various works that I was able to take. It seems that artists don't like to have their works photographed. The artist pictured above took great umbrage at my shooting. He looked extremely agitated and tried to give me the evil eye. Apparently, I made him so angry his hair stood up. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get some quality shots. It is very hard to focus when you are being chased by a mob of angry artists. They couldn't scare me. After all, I drive a Yugo.

He looks like a cockroach - very angry upper side plus suspicious look, but the flowers downside explain everything about his kind soul:-)))
ReplyDeleteOoogley Boogley!! That is the famous 'Lauderdalinsk spikalena beadeii' known only to a few brave men. You better drive that Yugo like a mad man. Oh yeah--you are!. MB
ReplyDeleteSounds like I need to get a Yugo.
ReplyDeleteFancy having a vase with a head.
I think he's cute! Your photo makes me want to create something like this. ---Why don't you pimp up your Yugo?
ReplyDeleteImpressive art form, original and very meticulous, the colors look soft and orange oriented. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI like his tattoos and hairdo!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful and amazing !!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. «Louis» thought this was a photo of the hood ornament on the Yugo...
ReplyDeleteO for Pete's sake! That's a really fun, cool, artsy-farsty piece of work!
ReplyDeleteYou are always running into the most interesting people! Glad you warded off the evil eye.
ReplyDeleteHmm! Similar to the image that stared back at me from the mirror this morning!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got away!
ReplyDeleteHe doth look ferocious. And many artists do not want photos taken of their work ... at art shows here I've seen signs forbidding photos.
ReplyDeleteYou might want to rethink your escape plans, though, as it seems Mr. Yugo tends to break down at the most inopportune moments.
Funky post!
Very scary looking artist! You were brave...very brave....to take his/her photo!
ReplyDeleteNow I see Louie got here first with this thought! oh, well, wouldn't he make a great hood ornament on the yugo? Ok, so just make him a passenger in the front seat next to you......
ReplyDelete:) lovely capture!
ReplyDeleteThis could well be in Barcelona! :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

Do you know the writer/artist Cllive Barker? Google him. That reminds me of the illustrations he did for a book called Abarat.
ReplyDeleteThe agitation was because he is a she. Looks like my high school drama teacher.
ReplyDeleteI love it when you share artwork. Taking photographs can be tricky business when people or their personal property are involved!!
