Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
A actor out alone
Riders on the storm.
The rest of the lyrics are rather strange, regardless, the title seems to fit this photo even if the words don't. Any thoughts?
Oh no, now I got that song in my head! :) Like that fog.
ReplyDeleteAre those sailboats out there? Hope they don't bump into each other in the fog!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I want to be out on the water in the fog.
ReplyDeleteCool shot though. MB
Funny, I wouldn't have associated this with the Doors. Nice deck view by the way.
ReplyDeleteYep, you're right about the title. Love this photo; have a thing for fog.
ReplyDeleteNice picture of a foggy night:)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
I've enlarged the picture it's impressive, I have a feeling that it was also cold in that day.Beautiful image!
ReplyDeleteLéia
Also makes you think of hitchcock movies
ReplyDeleteWonderful capture. Those sailboats are almost surreal. From the looks of it, you must still be up north. Nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks the lyrics to that song are a bit odd.
ReplyDeleteB2, it fits a marvelous photo. Except the riders have lots of company. Thanks for the reminder of the Doors and their music, once upon a time a favorite of mine though the occasions of listening are also a little foggy!
ReplyDeleteLove Morrison's poetry! Those boats might well be soon riders!
ReplyDeletei think you have an incredible view off your deck.
ReplyDeleteaah this is lovely and mysterious
ReplyDeleteRe your comment on my blog: "Yeah right". MB
ReplyDeleteI can hear his deep timber now ... and that is a really wonderful fog shot ...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely looks foggy to me. I hear the weather is going to get warmer here again so it probably will where you are too. I was hoping the oppressive heat was over for this year!
ReplyDeleteIt is really nice to have a Flac (never an mp3!) of the song at hand. Looking at the picture I get your idea...
ReplyDeleteHow do they keep from bumping into each other out there?
ReplyDeleteThey do look very ghostly.
ReplyDeleteThey look like ghost ships, which seems appropriate in a Jim Morrison sort of way.
ReplyDeletefoggy and crowded too.
ReplyDeleteWhat others have said: how do the sailors keep from running into each other? I can't steer a sailboat even when it's clear.
ReplyDeleteI usually think of that song on a rainy night, but then I might as easily think of "a rainy night in Georgia." Great view you have!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite songs... brings back good memories. Nice view you got there Mr B Squared, fog and all.
ReplyDeleteRiders on the storm! Great memories.
ReplyDeleteYou're a lucky boy to have that view foggy or otherwise.
ReplyDeleteLove that song! Fits the photo. :) My dad has all of The Doors albums.
