Tall, and tan, and young, and lovely, the girl from Ipanema goes walking and when she passes, I smile - but she doesn't see, she just doesn't see, she doesn't see.

THE GIRL FROM IPANEMA
Tall, and tan, and young and lovely, the girl from Ipanema goes walking and when she passes, each one she passes goes - ahh. Ooh but I watch her so sadly, how can I tell her I love her, yes I would give my heart gladly, but each day, when she walks to the sea she looks straight ahead, not at me.

focused vision. great post as always.
ReplyDeleteThis post is worth every cent of the admission price. LOL!
ReplyDeleteMethinks someone just got himself a winner bench! This is great! Tall and tan?!!
ReplyDeleteBe careful, do not fall in love. She can be married with children.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's cute...but I think the Girl is reliving her Ipanema moments, now that she's become a Red Hat lady.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooooo funny. This 'girl from Ipanema' seems to have a sense of humor. I think she enjoyed this post as much as the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteLOL fabulous idea,Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHmmm Ipanema Brazil!!!
But psiuuuu, I think she is a little bit different from the brazilian girls in Ipanema.Anyway...she is gorgeous! ;)
hugs
Léia
I have to commandeer this bench for my blog: that girl stole my heart...
ReplyDeleteWhere are my glasses when I need them?
Ah, ain't it the truth!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's your own fault! Dontcha know girls from Ipanema just don't see on their way to the sea. I'm surprised that she's part of the Red Hat Society, though...
ReplyDeleteYou'd better leave her alone. We got a bunch of red hatters here and they can be tough ol' broads!
Re stuffed alligators: I thought of certain people in Tallahassee as stuffed shirts, but I think you are absolutely right: stuffed alligators is a much better description after watching them rend our state into mush!
what did you say her to make her laugh?
ReplyDeleteI think you had one too many G & T's!
ReplyDeleteExcellent!!!! Now that tune will be with me all day.
ReplyDeleteShe does have that smile going for her.
I can see you are smitten.......

You do see/shoot the best stuff
ReplyDeleteThis one is even stranger than usual. I hope this was a shop at least and not someone's home!
ReplyDeleteI love her outfit and I would like to know what has made her so happy, because I want some of it.
ReplyDeleteTom Jobin is watching you from heaven... :0}
ReplyDeleteThat's a little scary!
ReplyDeleteI think this may actually be the girl from Altadena, a Los Angeles suburb.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't look without commenting. She's my dream and has left Florida's west coast for the snooty shores and canals of Lauderdale. Ain't fair. She's enough to get me again looking for my Tampa mannequins.
ReplyDeleteGreat big smile at that one... I've always loved that song & it's on my playlist at the bottom of my page! Heheheee
ReplyDeleteShe is indeed lovely, B Squared! I hope you get to meet her some day and tell her how you feel.
ReplyDeleteSo brilliant.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing get up! What ever happened to lawn dwarfs?
ReplyDeleteShe may be tall but she ain't tan ;-D
ReplyDeleteLooks like she was happy to see you!
ReplyDelete«Louis» wagers that she's an escapee from Wal-Mart...
ReplyDeleteIt is so funny.
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered what she would look like, and this is certainly not what I had in mind :) I really think your town is quite interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!
The Girl From Ipanema! LOL! The things you find! :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha!!! Is that thing supposed to make someone want to be in the Red Hat Society?
ReplyDeleteLOL! What a riot--super find! :-D Great expression!
ReplyDeleteI believe that is Frivolous Sal's in H.S.
