POWWOW VII

Here is the next generation of The Odawa Tribe. Seems like a fitting way to end this series. There are more photos of this PowWow which will be displayed from time to time. From what I saw, The Odawa will survive and flourish into the future.

  1. Hi! What a wonderful series of photos... thank you for sharing these...
They bring back memories of PowWow's I used to go to here in the northeast...and one I went to in Anadarko Oklahoma. One of the elders there told me that he feared they were losing their language. I pray this is not true. How beautiful are our differences and our uniqueness.
    *enjoy the weekend*

  12. I like the connectedness between old and young...it's important, I believe, to maintain some traditions from our ancestors, so long as they are benign.

VP is right on. I'll bet there were a lot of still cameras and video cameras going at this Pow Wow!

  13. «Louis» echoes those who have written that this has been an excellent series. For once, he won't write anything sarcastic.

    (M. Scélérat, éditeur à «Louis»: Indeed, that IS a first, particularly at this blog!

    «Louis» à M. Scélérat, éditeur: Aw, shaddup!)

  17. I can feel the energy from that boy. The girl doesn't seem keen on her photo being taken.

    Looking forward to the weekend?
