I'D HATE TO HAVE TO POLISH IT

ThiS interesting piece of art adorns the front of a Community College in the downtown area. It is titled "PEACE." The artist's name is Leonardo Neirman. I don't know anything more about the artist or his work. I do like it and find it to be very, Twenty-First Century.

  1. Not my type of art, but it DOES catch your eye...as long as it's shiny.

  3. Not bad at all, but for something called 'Peace' it looks vaguely threatening...

  4. I'm not up for polishing it, either. It would look cool in a park. I like it, too.

  6. I bet it could hurt. Could be used for an episode of CSI as a weapon.

  8. I find it quite attractive, too...with those shiny, wingy thingys.

Re: your comment on The Villages - I'd never heard of Kilwins before...but isn't this great; you don't have to go to Michigan in the summer, you can just come up to The Villages!

  9. I checked out his website and found paintings, sculptures and tapestries and all have similar motifs of objects in motion. His site is called: the sound of color. Thanks B for sending me off to explore another artist!

  11. It is pretty! It reminds me of some of the student artwork featured outside of the building where I work.

  13. It does flow around quite nicely. And it is very shiny. Not sure where "Peace" comes in though.

  14. OK, so if this is what "peace" looks like, «Louis» would hate to see what war looks like! Maybe this is some Orwellian/DNC thing where 'peace' = 'war', 'prosperity' = 'poverty', 'love' = 'hate', etc....
