Churches have historically been the repository of great art. There are countless examples in DAILY PHOTO. The one downside is that they are usually inside the church. This particular mural is located outside. I like the way that JESUS appears to be balancing on the post. There is a lot of symbolism there if you care to indulge. This is a Greek Orthodox Church that happens to be having their winter festival this weekend. Guess who is keeping an eye on the events? Opa!

  1. Great mural. I have a blog called Holy Houses where I post pics of older churches. I never thought of just posting pictures of murals or stained glass---thanks for the idea. MB

  2. indulging the symbolism and glad I'm not alone in trying to balance!
Thanks for your visit and comment on my blog.
I enjoyed my visit here. Your hometown looks warm and inviting. (to more than just spring breakers!)

  3. Looking forward to read your postings on the festival!
