THE TWILIGHT ZONE

You know, it's a shame. There are a lot of older folks who spend their summers in this area. I feel bad for them. They are in the twilight of their years and they have to drive these old cars. Such a pity.

  1. You are just jealous because those old cars are in better shape than the FTLDP Staff Limo, a.k.a. Yugo...

LOL at your remark at Versailles DP...

  4. This is such a sad story! I feel so lucky to live in a cramped town full of youngsters riding their noisy scooters even on the sidewalks!

  5. There must be an underground network for when they need to buy a new tire. Poor souls, indeed.

  12. Must be humiliating. But I've heard once you reach a certain age, you stop caring what other people think.

  14. OH WOW .. I think those are the same people/cars that I photographed in VA last month! How come you and Yugo arent in this parade?

  17. I love vintage cars. I don't know why. Just look so beautiful to me. Don't get me wrong. There are a few contemporary cars that I like, but nothing says class like a 50's Rolls Royce.

How are you enjoying the summer?

  18. I was in tears when I finished reading your story...but then I read another story about old guys living in Ft. Lauderdale who are reduced to driving old Yugos, and I wept openly!

That wouldn't have been so bad, but I was getting my nails trimmed at the time!

  19. The maintenance alone would be so time consuming.
