ACT II, SCENE III
You know, I've often wondered why the faces in statues like this always appear to be so distressed. I guess have your head removed and then put on a stick will cause that to happen. She seems so unassuming;must be a good actress. Maybe it was just their fate.

Stony-faced, I would've said. :)
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she's pouting.
ReplyDeleteWhat if she did not like her neighbors and this is what she did to them...
ReplyDeleteShe looks serene!A beautiful sculpture!
ReplyDeleteLéia :)
Yes, kind of reminds me of those popsicle stick masks they make; just eyes and perhaps a mustache.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like trouble to me.
ReplyDelete:) astute observation!
ReplyDeleteI always thought it's because it takes so long for the sculptor to finish his masterpiece and the models got tired :-D
ReplyDeleteI guess she couldn't decide if it was a comedy or a tragedy. MB
ReplyDeleteHee! I was just about to say the same thing as MB. Great minds think alike!!
ReplyDeleteShe does seem a little indifferent to the plight of the other two characters.
ReplyDeleteIt may be useful to have a couple of spare faces at hand!
ReplyDeleteYou always make me laugh ... and I think you made that statue laugh .. look at her face!
ReplyDeleteThese masks are how she gets rid of wise cracking photographers!
ReplyDeleteGood idea. I should carry these to warn people of sudden mood changes.
ReplyDeleteI think she's giving you the evil eye because you are taking her picture.
ReplyDeleteWhy is her naked thigh exposed?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend - whatever the weather!
