SCHOOL'S OUT

This is a fish just standing on the side of the road, minding his own business. An unusual sight, to be sure, for an urbanite such as myself. Being acquainted with the pulse of the city, I knew enough not to go up and ask him why he was standing there. Fish don't like to be confronted out of their element. Then I saw the school bus approaching, and it all began to make sense.

  6. Well, I've heard of schools of fish, but this is on another level entirely!

Re your comment on Cedar Key: My wife seems to think I've been in another dimension for a number of years. I wonder what's wrong with her?

Ha, ha, Tapirgal! That's a barbed comment if I ever heard one! ;-))

  7. The FTLDP Staff Limo must be equipped with a highly sensitive Unusual Sights Detector that aids you in finding subjects to photograph for the blog. Who would have thought that such high-tech equipment would ever be found, much less function, on a Yugo!?

  10. Looks like a trout. I'd be really concerned if it was a perch....well, perched there waiting to join the rest of the school.
