CROQUET
Here is an activity that most of us played as children. Do any of us know what the rules were? I know we hit the ball through some wire objects. Then, if we landed next to another ball, we placed our foot on our ball and used a mallet to send the opponent's ball two yards over. These folks are playing on a field dedicated to the sport of Croquet. They look the part, they dress the part, who knew? They probably know the rules as well. Just another snippet for MY WORLD TUESDAY.

I know the rules and I played it last summer. I´m 37.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of strategy involved and the players are really dedicated to the game. Me, I prefer cnocking the ball through the right sequence of coloured hoops and all having some good clean fun.
ReplyDeleteYes, this does remind me of childhood!
ReplyDeleteI remember playing croquet. It didn't have rules, did it? (grin)
ReplyDeleteCroquet is a wonderful game. We had a set until a few years ago...
ReplyDeleteBut, wait, how come there's no snow?
