DREAMS DO COME TRUE
Came across this beautiful piece of automotive art the other day. "Well I'm not braggin' babe so don't put me down, but, I've got the fastest set of wheels in town... She's my little deuce coop..." I mean really, can't you just hear The Beach Boys singing? How about Jan And Dean? The Ventures? When I look at this car I am transported to California in the '60's:The epicenter of youth and all things cool. Just to drive it along the beach once would be like a dream come true. I hope it resonates with you as well.

You can't have it---cuz I want it!! It does bring back the memories, doesn't it. I have that song--Lil Deuce Coupe--on a 45 record. Some things I have saved. MB
ReplyDeleteYes, very col. I would love to cruise down the Champs-Elysées with that one!
ReplyDeleteAdd an o, would you? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't quite reach this car, but it sure is pretty! The different-sized wheels are funny-cute.
ReplyDeleteIt is time of rare vehicles, and this one doesn't look like a 'retiree'.
ReplyDeleteYes ,I'm hearing the wind is coming with "Good Vibrations"! ;-)
ReplyDeleteFabulous car!
Have a nice week there!
Kind regards from Brazil

Big change from yesterdays post. Where would you put the surfboard?
ReplyDeleteGreat car!!
ReplyDeleteUh oh, You better check out my Newtown blog's mellow yellow post. We should set up a race because the guy in the yellow car thinks he's "all that", and he doesn't like red cars. lol
ReplyDeleteI like it!
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered exactly what a "little deuce coupe" was. Somehow I think this is not it - but still a neat car.
Now we're talking fun hot rod culture. Yes, the Pacific Coast Highway, surfing coves, long endless nights and cruising. (Certainly not today's world or anything I can find in Tampa. Oh well.) Great find.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a cool car!!!!! Yup, I hear that song!
ReplyDeleteOk I'm going to be humming that song the rest of the day. That car is cool!
ReplyDeleteIts really a piece of mechanical art, its color is a bit serious for this kind of car, how much it runs, fast I guess. A superb car.
ReplyDeleteAh, so THAT'S what I was singing about all those years ago!!
ReplyDeleteHa! Such memories!
ReplyDeleteI lived in Los Angeles when in my early teens in Los Angeles...I had slightly older friends who spent every waking hour (when they weren't in school) putting together these hot rods.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, B Squared!
This car is just so cool!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah! She's cherry!!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! So very cute! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! Memory Lane; this looks EXACTLY like a car owned by a "fella" I dated in Pasadena, Ca...many moons ago.
