SPLISH, SPLASH, ...

I stumbled upon this unusual birdbath the other day. It is rather ornate. I should think any bird worth his or her feathers would love to swoop down and splash around for a spell. If it only had a couple of hydrojets,  I might like to give it a go. Care to join me? Enlarge the photo to get a better look.

  1. Gaudì comes to mind, maybe a little overdone, but if I were a bird I'll give it five stars.

  2. It is very unusual and even pretty. I enlarged it and found it rather striking and also in need of a little water for a splish splashing bird. MB

  4. Looks like candy canes around the basin. But what is that inside the basin?

  5. That is a nice one! Someone put a lot of work into making it. It does need some water though!

  6. You really do find the best stuff! This looks like a whole bird sanctuary with all the flowers and whatnot. I'm sure our feathered friends love it.

  7. This sure beats the one in our yard. Maybe that's why we don't have any birds splashing around?

  8. Ours is very simple but well used. I was going to remark on the candy canes but someone beat me to it!! Not much room left for bathing.

  9. I was reminded of Bobby Darin and think I'll be hearing the song in my head all day now.

  12. That is a colorful and ornate bird bath. Maybe the color is there to attract the birds to it like brightly colored flowers.

  13. I'll leave you to it! I'm probably wrong but it has a kind of partially home made look to it. It's great!

  17. Very artsy-crafty, I guess that's one way to use a shell collection.
