STOCKING STUFFER
I love cars that look like they're moving when standing still. The Audi R8 pictured fits that description perfectly. Just sitting at a parking meter it might get a speeding ticket. The U.S. version checks in with a 420 H.P. engine capable of speeds in excess of 180 MPH;very practical in a state where the top speed limit is 70 MPH. But hey, who said anything about practicality? It gets about 12 MPG city and 18 MPG on the highway. I guess that explains why it's not available in "Green."

I love it! I want it! gimmie gimmie!!! MB
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a dream car. Audi is my favourite. I like its logo too.
ReplyDeleteThat is one mean machine, but even if I had the bucks to buy it, I'm too thrifty on gas to even tolerate that looooow mileage per gallon!
ReplyDeleteWhy does my car look so shabby compared with this one? Ha! This is NOT a shabby car!!!
ReplyDeleteShe's pretty stream-lined except for that black panel which looks like it would catch the wind and slow her down. I guess that's to keep her from going over 180 mph. Kind of like the qwerty keyboard.
ReplyDeleteI think you should ask Santa for one for Christmas! You're a great CDP blogger - you deserve one!
ReplyDeleteIt is moving standing still! If I sum every car I owned I'm still quite short of 420 HP...
ReplyDeleteWhen they have a diesel version, I'll consider it.
ReplyDelete12 MPH?!?! OMGosh! That's AWFUL! But it sure looks goooooood!
ReplyDeleteCar lust huh?
ReplyDeleteV
wow! she sure is a stunner!
ReplyDeletePerfect for that special "me" on my Christmas list -:) Wish it went just a little faster, though -:)
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!! FUNEEE!
ReplyDeleteI like cars with lines that harmonize with the energy flow of the universe--like the old XKEs.
That one looks pretty good for that. LOL!
That is one gorgeous car!
ReplyDeleteSweet ... but I still want a hot blue Miata
ReplyDeleteMoving while at rest - sounds pretty green to me...
ReplyDeleteYou really described it perfectly - it does look like it's tearing down the highway when parked!
ReplyDeleteNot really too practical for a family ... but maybe I'll buy one as a second car. Just as soon as I win the lottery. Wait, I don't play the lottery!
Re: Your comment on Ocala DP - You are a very funny man!
I am an Audi owner(A4 Cabriolet) and I think they are great cars, but this one is aud acious.
ReplyDeleteI love the title of this post. Father Christmas can stuff this in my Chrissie stocking any time!
ReplyDeleteI'd like a red one please - red cars always go faster.

That is a perfect car for Florida. Love the "green" comment!
ReplyDeletePS. Go see Jilly's Monte Carlo post today; it'll make your heart race!!
ReplyDeleteI always think of those as "vroom-vroom cars" - after the jazzy little toys my brothers played with when small, pushing them about the floor saying, "Vroom! Vroom!"

Not a bad stocking stuffer! I wonder if Santa has room in his sleigh to bring me one too.
ReplyDeletePeut-être you should take said Audi to Paris and re-make C'etait un rendez-vous......
ReplyDeleteThat's a great description and I hope you have a stocking large enough, or at least a big red bow!
