THEME DAY - OPEN AIR MARKET
Bill's Farm Market, Petoskey, Michigan. Has been a family farm for over one hundred years. From the number of people shopping here, it should easily survive another hundred years.Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Hi!
ReplyDeleteFrom the looks of it... there ARE a few people under the tent! and they DO put away their carts ... as the sign says :o)

Loks like a place I would love, that tent awning or whatever you call it is cathedral like!
ReplyDeleteIt's a clean, beautiful and modern market!Great shot!

It seems like a nice place to buy flowers and fruit under a beautiful sky! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThis shot must have been before the RUSH, huh?
ReplyDeleteThat's one taut tarp...or plastic or whatever cover!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Bill threw an awning on the back of his house and **presto!** outdoor market! Petoskey is a beautiful area. Hope you're having nice weather. It's blazing hot here still (which is why you're there).
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a thriving market, it even has shopping carts.
ReplyDeleteLot`s of space, and perhaps even free parking. That is what I like.
ReplyDeleteWow shopping carts too!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW: we don't worry about wind here too much---just the darn rain. MB
Super shot, super place! I forgot about the theme. That's 'cause I'm not so open minded! ;-)
ReplyDeleteRe your Ocala DP comment: Don't know about the beads but I think they're raking in a lot of wampum!
Plenty of room to move around. The tent colour is brilliant and vivid.
ReplyDeletelooks like a temporary arrangement
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place and all that space! It's good to know it'll be there for a long long time.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great place. Glad to see business is thriving!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of the Petoskey farmers market. And it has supermarket trolleys? Great photo, I love the sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteCheers,

Wonder what it looks inside! Great tent at the entrance...I'd end up browsing for hours :D
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Stew Leonards up in CT
ReplyDeleteLove that huge tent, it so unusual!
ReplyDeleteCool canopy, I don't know if I've ever seen one like that. Are you back from Michigan?
ReplyDeleteThat's my guy!!!! You did without a last minute reminder. I hear you forgot something a tad more important. Lordy, do I have to do all the heavy lifting for you B2????

Nice capture! I love open air markets.
ReplyDeleteToo bad I always forget the theme days. :-(
Well, it WOULD have survived another 100 years, but the FTLDP Staff Limo's brakes failed and (ahem) upset the apple cart... Fortunately, no one was hurt...
ReplyDeleteThat's great news! Looks like they had to expand too, if that funky-looking tent is any indication.
ReplyDeleteI hope nobody steals the shopping trolleys left outside. How far is this place from Detroit. When i was a student in Canada, I used to take the bus and cross the river by tunnel. That was in 1970s and things in USA were cheaper than Canada. i wonder if thsi si still the case.
ReplyDeleteThat is a huge canopy! That's great to see it's thriving and surviving the bad economy.
ReplyDeleteI love markets - they're always full of interesting things and colourful people.
