A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR A SAIL
Here is a photo of a man, a dog, and a giant kite. It's actually a pavilion in the downtown area. It plays host to Art Fairs, Exhibitions, music, Octoberfest celebrations, and the ubiquitous Christmas Carolers. I think the dog is just happy no one is around to bother him.

Oooh that's a great pavilion-kite! Looks like Jaws! I hope you'll show us the ubiquitous Christmas Carolers because it's a bit late for Oktoberfest, isn't it? ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou keep showing me things I never knew existed in Fort Lauderdale. I thought I'd driven around enough to see most of what was there, but no... So, I'm glad to see you're back on the job here showing us more of your interesting city.
ReplyDeleteChristmas carolers drive me nuts quickly; they're too damn ubiquitous!
Have a great day!
I don't know, there's just something not right about Christmas caroling in 85 degree weather!
ReplyDeleteVery big.
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about the ubiquitous Christmas Carolers and maybe it's better left that way. MB
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful pavilion and your picture is also perfect and very poetic words!

A very nice pavillon. One of the few positive things about living here is that we have no 'ubiquitous Christmas Carolers'...
ReplyDeleteA busy site caught while resting ..
ReplyDeleteIt does look like it could take right off.
ReplyDelete"Ubiquitous" is certainly getting a bad rap...maybe living a few years now in Florida has made caroling almost a thing of the New England past. I kind of miss them...off-key even. I can't remember the last time I saw or heard a caroler at my front door. Ubiquitous? I think I'll head your way to be caroled!
ReplyDeleteLooks like there is plenty of room to stretch out on the grass and enjoy whatever is going on!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they forgot to put the back on the pavilion.
ReplyDeleteClearly, a dog day.
ReplyDeleteHard to imagine getting up to hear people singing "Frosty the Snowman" from that location.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a grand venue. Likely, the dog is sniffing the remains from the last event!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of that roof becoming an implement for an extreme sport.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of it being a giant kite. And I'm sure if it were not anchored to the ground it would lift off and take you on an amazing adventure. Hold on tight to the string. ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice park. Like the reference to the "SAIL"!

Hmmmm, I'll bet it's nice to sit on the lawn and hear some good music on a warm evening. And I hope they thought to clean up after the dog, just in case. '~)
