CHEERS!

Adjusting to the heat and humidity has taken it's toll especially when you have savored the cool Lake Michigan breezes all summer. Fort Lauderdale is steamy and oppressive. While walking down the street the other day, I felt parched and in need of an adult beverage. I stopped in the above establishment for a bit of rejuvenation. You may want to click the photo to get a better look at the pub's slogan. I was greeted by all sorts of interesting characters who, after awhile, didn't want me to leave. Before I knew it, days had past by and I had to return to the Fort Lauderdale Daily Photo Newsroom to put out the next edition. They were sad to see me go but they said they would be there tomorrow, the next day, and ...

Thanks for getting me out the door this morning with a smile on my face. You're too funny. Are you this crazy in real life or is B2 your alter ego?

This is crazy! Do they serve fruitcake at the bar instead of beer nuts and pretzels?

Funny post! I wondered if you were OK, and whether you needed rescuing, but I wouldn't have thought to look for you in the Mental Ward.

Glad you're back, though, all the better for your experience!

Such a great name for a pub. I wonder why more haven't caught on to this idea.

I wondered where you went. And it is a wonder they even let you out of there. Has the heat addled your brain? MB

Well, I sure am glad you've found some kindred spirits, B Squared. (Yes, I clicked on the photo to read the slogan.) ;-)

Sorry about the heat but if you'd stayed here you probably wouldn't like the cold either. It's hard to find the perfect place to escape to. The Mental Ward might be the perfect solution.

That's too funny!

I have always wanted to visit Florida, but the humidity is one thing that keeps it down on my list.

I was wondering what happened to you...I thought maybe you got lost on the way back South...

We lived in West Virginia for a summer and came back to Florida in the middle of August to start the school year. I thought I was going to die it was so hot and humid.

I had a similar reaction when my family moved from San Francisco to the gulf coast of Mississippi. In August.
