FISHING FOR AN ANSWER
Here is another unusual mailbox. How they ever got the Tarpon to stand like that and balance a mailbox on it's nose, I'll never know.

A DAILY PHOTOGRAPH FROM "THE VENICE OF AMERICA" NOW ON SUMMER VACATION IN HARBOR SPRINGS, MICHIGAN
There's probably a big, juicy worm dangling through the bottom of that mailbox.
ReplyDeleteIt's very different indeed but I liked it! Any cat mailbox around? LOL
ReplyDeleteLéia :)
Tacky, ... tacky, ... tacky ....
ReplyDeleteThey feed it little fishies every single day. Thus, the tarpon stands up straight,
ReplyDeleteIn fact, the tarpon does whatever
Its owners have to say.
The tarpon took the dare from all of the manatees who get pressed into service holding mailboxes in the Tampa area.
ReplyDeleteGreat find!
That's... silly!
ReplyDeleteI did see a big carp jump all the way out of the water after something, although everyone tells me that they don't do that. Maybe he was looking for a mailbox.
Three Rivers Daily Photo
I wish I had a shot of the Manatee one I saw ...
ReplyDeleteMaybe they threatened him into doing it!
ReplyDeleteI hear that tarpon are uncommonly bright.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have some interesting sights over there!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to do something about my 'boring' mailbox, I gotta get something more exciting to look at!
ReplyDeleteSomeone has spent many hours training the fish to do that!
ReplyDeleteI kind of like. Especially since it suits the area - it would be just strange here.
ReplyDeleteI think the fish went to modelling school. MB
ReplyDeleteIs this anywhere near the mermail? Can one OD on letterboxes?
ReplyDeleteI pity this poor fish who have to balance the mail box like that. I feel like chopping off the heavy load form its mouth.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am now so sorry our apartment building has only those 'on the wall' boxes.....maybe I should start a fad...
ReplyDeleteYour title made me smile and brattcat's comment made me laugh out loud. Very unusual mailbox indeed.
ReplyDeleteWhen you post these, I hate taking my mail from that drab mailbox of mine...
ReplyDeleteCreative, but it does look unfinished to me.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Look at THAT! LOL!!!
