THE PARALLAX SCULPTURE

Every time I think I know what this looks like, I change my mind. Maybe that is the point of it. If you have an opinion as to what it looks like, wait 5 minutes and look again. If your opinion hasn't changed, let me know.

    There was a similar sculpture in a public park not far from me, but it was destroyed by vandals...or art critics, I do not know, and while I deplore vandalism, I can't say I'm sorry it's gone....

    I wish I could walk around it. Honestly, I haven't a clue what it's supposed to represent. Perhaps I'll check back in five minutes.

    From this angle it looks like a stylized letter R, but I'm sure it wouldn't look like that at all if I could change position.

    It looks like a throwaway design. Perhaps the designer was trying for something entirely different, gave up and left it in its current unidentifiable state; or maybe it's supposed to be a dolphin.
