FLYING FISH

This particular fish sits (stands) outside an art center. The eagle, a fish, and a totem pole are very special to the Native Americans in this part of the country. You see the three displayed prominently in their art. The totem poles feature many different birds and bears, as well.

  1. There's so much going on with this piece I almost didn't realize it's a fish.

  2. This fish seems to be telling one whale of a tale as it stands on its tail.

  3. This is a neat one, couldnt tell the totem pole was painted on it and not in front of it.

  4. Are these all the same fish mold painted differently? I'm beginning to see a resemblance.

Usually the fish is on the totem not the totem in the fish.

  10. That's a new one. I've seen canvases made of cows and horses, but never fish - until now.

  12. Intriguing. And if this piece of art is an example of what's inside the "art museum," I'd love to see the rest of it!
