ROW, ROW, ROW YOUR BOAT

Labor Day has passed. The kids are back in school. Time for all the kayaks to be tucked into their bunks for a well deserved rest. Speaking of which, the staff and I will be incognito for a few days. Seems we have located a possible replacement for the FTLDP staff car and will be entering into serious negotiations to acquire it. Since this will demand our full attention, we beg your indulgence and will be back soon.

  4. A most exciting time for you and your staff. Since the Yugo is a STAFF car will it have any say in the final outcome. One wonders. MB

  6. Love the colorful wall of kayaks!
Good luck with your car negotiations! When they won't budge anymore on the price, I always try to get them to throw in the little extras :o)

  8. Perfect description of the kayaks being tucked in their bunks. They'll be in a deep slumber for a few months, most likely. Wishing the staff good luck with the negotiations! Go get 'em! (btw, it's a good thing you clarified it was a staff 'car' and not a 'vehicle'....b/c with this post I'd be wondering if you were opting for water transit.)

  11. Good luck! Negotiating for a vehicle isn't always a lot of fun. We just finished such and will be heading west in it soon.

  12. I have never been in a kayak, but it looks fun.

Good luck with trading in the Yugo. Not sure you'll get much for it. But I think it has historic value.

  18. Good luck negotiating! Ha! People mostly use a good canoe for getting down our river. Putting one of these on wheels might be your best bet.

  22. In New Zealand, Autumn is still warm, so schools have water sports .

I did a bit of kayaking in January in my brother's place in Australia. it was surprisingly easy to do. Considering I never did it before.
