CAMELOT REVISITED

It's not often the King is seen in public. He is usually absorbed in the affairs of state. There are those times, however, when even royalty has to escape. Given the opportunity, King Gourd likes to get out and mingle with his subjects. The people all seem to love him. He is very approachable. Though his station in life is quite lofted, the people see themselves in him and are pleased. After all, he really is one of them.

  1. Look how proud the people are of King gourd as they raise him on his pedastal. Long live the King!!! Until pie time anyway. MB

  4. We definitely share a sense of humor, chuckle, chuckle. Great photo, great text...but what worries me are those other large contenders to the throne that are hidden in the crowd....

  5. Since most kings just sit around all day, are those a couple of spare tires he's developed around the midsection and is trying to hide? Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!

  6. This HAS to be the first royal pumpkin I've ever met...and I am so very honored. But I'm a bit embarrassed to be dressed inappropriately. I'm not wearing shoes, OOPS! I hope His Highness forgives me.

  21. This reminds me of the old Hawaiian kings whose bulk ws a sign of their affluence ad power, and they had to recline most of the time, surronded by their thinner attendants. SOmeone needs to pass that pumpkin another plate of poi.

  23. B2,
I knew you'd fool around up there in that cool weather and see snow fall. Get the hell outta Dodge and get that sunscreen back out, you're gonna need it in F.L., FL! I look at my sweaters and jackets and wonder WHEN i will ever be chilly enough to put one on. Don't get me wrong, I"m not hankering for another Wisconsin or Iowa winter. Heaven forbid. Bon voyage mon ami!
