KNOCK, KNOCK-PART II

Just another of those strange things that people put in front of their homes. Really no story to accompany the photo, just a lot of questions. Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Is this the face of a red indian chief? I guess his job is to protect house.

  2. Quite unbelievable. Following your lead, I'm chasing some of these things here. It's a more difficult task here, because I have to canvass the suburbs...

  4. Maybe I'm in a cranky mood because I've hardly been out of the house for a few days, due to my flu or whatever it is, but I am not sure if I like the idea of displaying this. I'm fairly certain they're not Native Americans that live in this house, and somehow I find this head, at least in such a prominent place, mildly offensive.

    Maybe it's just my mood.

  6. Bill: You did the same thing we did. Post something that leaves us with more questions than answers.

Do you know it took me forever to realize that Bill B and B squared and Ft. Lauderdale DP were one and the same person (duh). Blogging is like that. Maybe we need some kind of Daily PHoto Convention! Have a great weekend. I always enjoy your posts as well as your comments on our blog.

  7. I suspect the person who carved this lives in the house. It's a valiant attempt to create art, don't you think?

  13. No info needed, everybody can make up their own story to the picture. Have a nice weekend, too.

  14. This carved head sure beats the fine cigar story Indian. His expression doesn't look very inviting. I don't know if I want him welcoming my guests.

It IS safe to return home. It is gorgeous fall weather on the Gulf coast. Just beautiful this morning.

  15. That's odd. Maybe one of the folks in that house carved it themselves.

Hope you have a nice trip home. One week in Berlin made me ready for some warmer weather!
