STONE WALL JACKSON
It's just one on those things you never notice till, you notice. I've driven over this bridge many a time and never thought twice about it. Then Louis starts this Sunday Bridge thing and, suddenly, I'm seeing bridges everywhere. I even saw one at my dentist's office the other day. I like the stone work they did on this. It is off the beaten path so there really was no need to go to the trouble to make it look anything other than what it is. I'm glad they did. Sunday Bridges

Cool bridge! I've been lucky to find some bridges in my archives. It's harder to find local ones though. I'm enjoying this new series for sure!
ReplyDeleteThat's a curvy, groovy, swervey bridge!
ReplyDeleteI love this bridge!
ReplyDelete& I know what you mean about finding bridges when you look for them, I didn't think I'd find any & so far I've found a few & it's fun looking for them too.
After 35 weeks of "Weekend Reflections" it's no secret that I like them and I see them everywhere now the same can be said for bridges.
ReplyDeleteIt has a nice curve to it too. Interesting that the stonework is separated at the pylons. Got earthquakes your way?
ReplyDeletePS - I know what you mean about noticing bridges & stopping to photograph them.
ReplyDeleteone of the reasons why i love memes is it makes me take notice and pay attention to things around me. great shot.
ReplyDeleteGood one! «Louis» likes finds like this!
ReplyDeleteI hope the bridge you spotted in your dentist's office was not made from stones like this one -:)
ReplyDeleteYou are like me, spending time at your dentist's. I like the curve and the stone. But why did they spoil the stone with a concrete top?
ReplyDeleteOooo, that's a pretty one! I like the graceful curve and the stonework. Happy Sunday!

A graceful, lovely bridge. So glad you noticed it.
ReplyDeleteExcellent shot. And it is true----now I see bridges everywhere too. MB
ReplyDeleteGot any gators in that canal?? I was always amazed at how many folks put canoes, along with their children, in those canals!

Very nice bridge! I like both the curve and the stone wall ;-D
ReplyDeletethis is a beautifully composed image!
ReplyDeleteWonderful POV, B2 (bugs me I cant get a superscript 2 for your name)
ReplyDeleteThe train was moving fast but I stopped it in it's tracks. LOL---Yeah my camera did that. MB
ReplyDeleteNice one. I was wondering how long it would take somebody to make a 'dentist-bridge' joke... :)
ReplyDeleteThe stone work is a real nice touch to this curving bridge.
ReplyDeleteThe curved stone wall is extremely photogenic.
ReplyDeleteNice photo.
ReplyDeleteSame with me. As soon as I joined the blog I realised that the city is made of churches...
It's always the way, isn't it? Once you start looking for something in particular, you discover where they all are. I like the stone work on that bridge.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Have a great week ahead!
Compared to bridges and other structures in Europe, ours seem so "utilitarian." So, yes, it's nice when someone goes to the extra trouble of making a bridge (or whatever) more than just a concrete span.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting, I like it!
ReplyDeleteYes I know what you mean. Somehow the very act of having a camera in my hand (car) makes me more aware of surroundings. What's up with that? ie: Why don't I do it anyway?
ReplyDeleteIt's actually a nice looking little bridge. I like the curved line leading up to the bridge.
ReplyDeleteI like both the stone and the curve of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm now seeing benches everywhere sinc I found VP's blog. The bridge is nice. Why is the water so icky?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and lovely shot !!Great
ReplyDeleteLike many others, I am impressed by the graceful curve.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you as to don't seeing things we look at everyday! That's a nice bridge perspective.
ReplyDeleteHa! How very true!
ReplyDeleteIts a nice curve and the stonework made for this bridge are really something!
