LIVINGSTON, I PRESUME
Another in our WIND VANE series. This appears to be a bird of prey. A friend thought it was a Seagull. I don't think so. He did say his name was Jonathan, however. He does look like he has been repaired a few times. And if I'm not mistaken, the wind direction is WNW but he is pointing more to the south. These people may need a second vane for confirmation.

Must be a politician. Pointing in every direction yet going nowhere.
ReplyDeletenice shot, perhaps the bird is hitchhiking.
ReplyDeleteIf that's a seagull, I'm a hawk. And even weather vanes can be wrong.
ReplyDeleteEnlarged your photo to see if it was a seagull or an eagle, but 'twas all in vain.
ReplyDeleteI do love your windvane series.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to prove you can't trust a bird of prey masquerading as a seagull.
ReplyDeleteFascinating collection of weather vanes. Would have to look long and hard to find that many in this part of the country!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!!! You are so funny. A vain bird perhaps-----. MB
ReplyDeleteI love your weather vane series and even more the comments it elicits. Sorry I don't have anything punny to add.
ReplyDelete:) thank you for the wonderful humor!
ReplyDeleteWhy are folks in Fort Lauderdale so vane?
ReplyDeleteWhy don't folks in Fort Lauderdale know which way the wind is blowing?
Why don't folks in Fort Lauderdale know the difference between a chicken and a seagull?
I don't know, do you?
;-)
Maybe your friend meant a 'sea eagle,' not a seegull? Great series of wind vanes.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell what it is, but I like it anyway.
ReplyDeletelooks like a rabid hawk .. a cheney bird
ReplyDeleteOh, I LIKE this. I may have to start posting some of my wind vanes soon. Right now I'm still hoarding them in my archives. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what is this, but I'm quite sure it isn't a seagull...

ReplyDeleteCOOL!
I think nowadays, people there just keep it because it's charming! :)

:) I guess he's undecided or maybe hoping for a change of wind. He doesn't look like a seagull to me, but I can't say for sure what it is.
ReplyDeleteNice and beautiful!
