YOU CAN'T EAT JUST ONE

It's Strawberry season! Hard to resist these little nuggets of pure perfection. This was shot at a U-Pick-em. He and many of his closest friends found their way into our basket. Some actually managed to survive the car ride home. Yum!

  1. In this case, you can only eat one. The other one is gone already.

  6. Is there anything better than eating a fresh-picked strawberry still warm with sunshine?

  7. We have similar places here. And loved them too. There are some horror stories I should tell about the last one we picked at.

  8. Yum indeed!
Mme la Vache would have seen to it that none from the u-pick survived the car ride home!

  9. Besides the cold, snow and ice, this is one reason why I don't like winter...very few fresh fruits and vegetable, especially berries. And, you caption is totally correct!

  11. One of the things I miss about Michigan, U-picking! U-picking here is pitiful. We get one row of starberry bushes to pick from and have a 30 minute time limit...sigh.

  13. I love pick-your-own strawberries. We have a farm near us so I know the yummy taste well. :)

  14. I can. I can eat just one or pass 'em up .. but blueberries .. oh those are impossible for me to ignore ... especially when they are topped with vanilla ice cream .. get outta my way!

  15. Ha! So very true!
Everytime I pick strawberries I remember {now 27 years} being 8 1/2 months pregnant with my first ... sitting on the ground ... eating one strawberry after another...
not many went in the basket that day ♥ gotta love them!

Thanks for the reminder to get to the fields!

  16. I hope they were as sweet as this one looks! Were they better than Florida strawberries?

  17. I have some in my backyard, but the birds always get to them before they're ripe. :)

  18. Our season is over and we're into raspberries and cherries, but I miss strawberries, my favorite.

  19. Great photo! Love on-the-plant fruit photos - mainly because I don't see them there. Strawberry season just ended here but a weekend trip to middle lower Michigan [ ;) ] may extend the season a little for us.
