FUN, FUN FUN TILL HER DADDY TOOK THE T-BIRD AWAY
There is no shortage of interesting cars in Michigan, especially in the resort areas such as this. Take the above example as a case in point. For those old enough to remember, The Thunderbird was one of those cars you dreamed about owning one day. Movie stars were often seen driving them as were all the other "cool" people. This one was immaculate inside and out;a real classic. Perhaps some young kids will pass by and dream of owning her one day.

It's wonderful, an elegant car!
ReplyDeleteLéia :)
a beauty by all standards!!
ReplyDeleteBeauty!
ReplyDeleteThe letters on the license plate say it all BMY...'be my' thunderbird.
ReplyDeleteAh! The "Squarebird". When Ford replaced the original 2-seat Thunderbird of '55-'57, the purists howled, but the '58 "Squarebird" out-sold the 2-seater by a large margin. Is this one a '58? This body style was continued through the '60 model year.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your Yugo didn't find out you had been looking at this car. Its wheels might fall off in jealousy...
Oh my yes indeedy. MB
ReplyDeleteWow! What a car! I remember that song very well...
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to just rent a T-Bird even just for a day!

I would expect that most kids dreaming about this one are really... ex-kids, sort of...
ReplyDeleteOh, boy....this brings back memories...high school...T-birds...the Beach Boys...
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful that some people take care of this kind of cars, and I hope that their driver, young or less young, will take care either!
ReplyDeleteI guess people resonate to different car eras - this is definitely not the one that works for me - I like rounder, sportier cars.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your caption as much as the pic. What a beaut!
ReplyDeleteOh I loved that model. Always wanted one.
