GROOVIN' ON A SUNNY AFTERNOON
On a hot summer day families like to do a lot of different things. Many like to go down to the beach and chill out in the water. Lots more like to go to a park and just kind of hang out. This family was just sitting around, reading, staying cool and enjoying a sunny afternoon. Parks are really nice places to take the family and not be bothered by city life if only for a short while.

ReplyDeleteI am green with envy.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch...is that dad out with the kids?

Oh yeah. That's the life ;D
ReplyDeleteNice capture of a nice family outing. Looks like that male is going to grow into quite a set of antlers.
ReplyDeleteKeep 'em cute in the park and NOT my garden.
ReplyDeletecute shot, it must be duck season...or wabbit season, just not dear season.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, shade matters!
ReplyDeleteBill, I have to thank you for all of your visits to Greensboro Daily Photo. We all work so hard at these daily photo sites. For some reason, I get a lot of views but not a lot of comments. My long time buddies like you, Dina, and Jacob keep me going! As you will know, the effort to keep one of these blogs going is tremendous.
How "dear" ( :
ReplyDeleteOh dear, err I mean, Oh deer! Nice cool Summer photo of the deer rendez vous!
ReplyDeleteI like your "art of the day," too!
Such a lovely moment. Wish I could have seen these fellows.
ReplyDeleteNice day for a bambi picnic
ReplyDeleteIf they stay out in the park too long, will they wind up looking like this?
ReplyDeleteThe inquiring mind of «Louis la Vache» wants to know!
What a handsome family!
ReplyDeleteThey looked so relaxed. Makes me want to go lay down in the shade with them!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwwwww ... that is a lovely photo ..
ReplyDeleteA really nice photo, BS! Did you happen to find out what they were reading? Bambi, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely happy family! Really nice capture.
ReplyDeleteWhat did they read? Wish I could hang out in that park for a little while.
ReplyDeleteLast night a deer woke us up just before dawn... {about 4:30am}...
ReplyDeleteIt sounded like a bear climbing our apple trees picking them and eating them...
The ones you photographed are nice and quiet :D
I like deer that read. Just an hour ago I was crossing the small bridge from Warrenton to Astoria, and on the Astoria side just beyond the traffic circle there was a mom and two fawns trotting down the road. There were some safe places around, but also some dangerous ones. I wanted to say, "Please! Get your kiddies out of the street!" At least in town they are *relatively* safe. Not so on the highway.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that "Antlers" is with them. I only see the moms and babies around here.
ReplyDeleteSo rare to see the whole family together--great shot!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day to sit under a tree with a good book.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great afternoon with the kids.
ReplyDeleteCool~
ReplyDeleteNice shot, very relaxing!

We were up there, near you! Had a great time. :-D
Sorry we missed you--I enjoyed meeting you last year.
Aaaww, would love to see them myself! They look so chilled.
