SKY KING AND QUEEN
This is a shot of Luther Kurtz and Angela Bishop. This brother and sister team are tandem skydiving. Last Tuesday thru Wednesday, they leaped 105 times becoming the world record holders for the most tandem skydives in a single day. They did this in order to raise funds for The Top of Michigan Trails Council. This organization maintains bike trails and recreational paths throughout Northern Michigan. This is a photo of their first jump.

I wonder how they felt on the last jump.
ReplyDeleteGood for them for setting a record and raising money for their cause. MB
Cool way to raise awareness though I'd rather stay on the ground.
ReplyDeleteHOLY COW!
ReplyDelete«Louis» would never do this ONCE, much less 105 times!
[M. Scélérat, éditeur à «Louis»: Good thing! I don't think the world is ready for a flying cow!
«Louis» à M. Scélérat, éditeur: Well, the world is about to witness a flying editor - I'm going to butt you into the next county with my horns if you don't shaddup!
M. Scélérat, éditeur: (GULP!) ]
What is it they say about the family that jumps together? Takes their lumps together?
ReplyDeleteA lot of jumps for a very good cause!
ReplyDeleteThey are BRAVE, I think I'm not prepared for this!
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture!

This looks like fun! An interesting way to raise money for a cause.
ReplyDeleteOn a HOT day, this looks COOL and cool!
ReplyDeleteI hope they raised a bunch of money. They definitely worked for it.
ReplyDeleteWell I wouldn't be able to raise a dime doing that!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's amazing! Glad they were doing it for a good cause.
ReplyDeleteI thought you were going to say 105 lifetime jumps. So if they jumped for, say, 12 hours, that's about 9 jumps an hour. How can that be possible?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot, BS...but there isn't enough money in the world to entice me in such an enterprise! They gotta be crazy!
ReplyDeleteNice but you got me ... I was sure this was about Sky King and his niece Penny ... boy am I old
ReplyDelete105 times?!?! It surely would take a me a lot of energy to do it once! :-) Amazing!
ReplyDelete105 times?! That's a LOT of jumps. I'm tired just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteI admire people who think of unique ways to raise money for good causes.
Maybe I'd be more apt to skydive rather than dip my toes in those icy Micigan lakes!!!
ReplyDeleteNice capture....and a nice cause they were raising money for. I hope they raked in the dough. I went skydiving in Zephyrhills about 8 years ago. Once was enough for me!
ReplyDeleteGood for them! I like that very much - when people do something really challenging to help raise funds for something they believe in. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!
I guess they didn't have to pay for their jumps. May be I will set a record too . LOL
ReplyDeleteIn NEw Zealand, it costs $300 a jump. My daughter did that.
