SCHOOLS OUT
These two fish stand guard at the Boyer Glassworks Studio and Gallery. It is their job to watch over the area, tell a few jokes and alert people when their parking meters are about to expire. The shop is owned by Harry and Kathleen Boyer. He creates beautiful pieces of handblown glass many of which are one of a kind creations acquired by collectors and discriminating buyers. It is fascinating to stop by and watch Harry create marvelous things from molten glass. If you are ever in the area stop by, but you may want to bring a sardine and extra change for the meter. The fish will thank you for it.

ReplyDeleteMolten glass is magic, when treated by the right person.
ReplyDeleteI do like glass that is worked by a master. It is soul searching art if I ever saw it.
ReplyDeleteYour visit will count and help me Make History.

The garden looks nice. The fish do look like they could use a bite to eat.
ReplyDeleteVery funny! They do look like they're talking to each other. I bet they have some very interesting conversations!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, fun capture! They look great blown up!
ReplyDeleteLooks a bit fishy to me.
ReplyDeleteGreat title.
They are people watchers for sure. I love glass art. Are you going to take on an inside tour.
ReplyDeleteI live right down the road from The Pilchuck Glass School started by Dale Chihuly. It is a very rustic place way up in the woods. Very hippyish but very, very professional at the same time.
Feed the fish for me. Thanks. MB
Those are very cute guards!
ReplyDeleteThese fishes are more refined and urbane of the mass produced dumb kind I posted yesterday! I'm a bit envious... Nice photo and, as always, funny note.
ReplyDeleteFunny picture! This reminds me of a joke.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you call a fish with no eye?

I agree, glass blowers and sculptors are fascinating to watch.
ReplyDeleteReally cool fish! They surely bring joy to the garden.
ReplyDeleteReally great sculpture. Made by talented artists only exceeded by the photog who captured the creatures in all their glory.
ReplyDeleteThese are very attractive sculptures. You should buy one for your front yard! I have a former student who has made a very successful living and good reputation in glasswork. Haven't been to his studio for awhile, but this reminds me to get there again soon.
