SOUNDS OF SILENCE
We attended an art show the other day at Nub's Nob. It is a ski resort located just outside Harbor Springs, Michigan. While walking around, gazing at the various booths, I came across these two gentlemen who were taking a break. I sat down and attempted to strike up a conversation. I inquired about their dog, commented on the weather;nothing. Not a single response. The dog even ignored me. These two guys were rather stiff and very poor conversationalists. At least the art show was interesting.

Ha! Too funny. Only you would try to have a conversation with these two watch dogs. They heard what you say but weren't about to give you the time of day.
ReplyDeleteClever shot.
BTW--I came home--yep I did. MB
Fine people, I could use some neighbors and coworkers like these...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vogon. They could use a barber though.
ReplyDeleteSome people just don't like to talk much, B Squared...They may be shy, or they may feel uncomfortable in such outdated clothes, or maybe they were afraid of you, being from Florida and all.
ReplyDeleteYou got a nice portrait of them, though, and I'm glad you had fun at the rest of the art fair.
You know what they say about those tactiturn northerners... ;-) If they were Italian, you wouldn't be able to get them to shut up!
ReplyDeleteCute guys, but rather rude!
ReplyDeletewhen ya cant' tell the dogs from the dogs...
ReplyDeleteWell better than bad conversation
ReplyDeleteNot very talkative then, but they do look kinda relaxed.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they don't cotton to outsiders! They look comfortable though.
ReplyDeleteVery fun!! Love the pun.
ReplyDeleteFunny post! They look foreign, but I'm not exactly sure from where. Have you tried a different language? (;

I could use a few neighbors like these. Great post.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to get some people to open up, isn't it?
