SOUNDS OF SILENCE

We attended an art show the other day at Nub's Nob. It is a ski resort located just outside Harbor Springs, Michigan. While walking around, gazing at the various booths, I came across these two gentlemen who were taking a break. I sat down and attempted to strike up a conversation. I inquired about their dog, commented on the weather;nothing. Not a single response. The dog even ignored me. These two guys were rather stiff and very poor conversationalists. At least the art show was interesting.

  1. Ha! Too funny. Only you would try to have a conversation with these two watch dogs. They heard what you say but weren't about to give you the time of day.
    Clever shot.

    BTW--I came home--yep I did. MB

  3. I agree with Vogon. They could use a barber though.

  4. Some people just don't like to talk much, B Squared...They may be shy, or they may feel uncomfortable in such outdated clothes, or maybe they were afraid of you, being from Florida and all.

    You got a nice portrait of them, though, and I'm glad you had fun at the rest of the art fair.

  10. Funny post! They look foreign, but I'm not exactly sure from where. Have you tried a different language? (;

  12. It's hard to get some people to open up, isn't it?
