MANGI, GODA DI
This gentleman, we'll call him Luigi, stands in front of my favorite Italian bakery;Gran Forno. It is a little slice of Italy right here in Fort Lauderdale. Everything they make here, tastes like there. You can stop in the morning, grab an expresso or coffee, perhaps a pastry to go along with it. Walk out the door and sit at a table watching all the beautiful people walk by. You can return at lunch time and grab a prosciutto sandwich and maybe some dessert for dinner. This place is the best you will find outside of Italy. Congratulazioni, Luigi! Perdoni il mio Italiano.

Coffee and a biscotti please. Prosciutto sandwich would be nice too. Yum. I gotta get some tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteFt.Lauderdale was our favorite destination when we were living in Boca Raton. But we visited mostly the beach and the shops near there. Favorite place the "Beach Place". I wish I've stopped by this great bakery.
ReplyDeleteCiao Luigi!
ReplyDeleteFort Lauderdale has just enhanced its already good standing as a place to live: for an italian the 'forno' is the basic shop. I could live off supermarkets for everything, but not for my bread.
ReplyDeleteI love italian food!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!

If I am ever in Fort Lauderdale, I will remember this place.. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking mascot for an Italian bakery. My first job as a teenager was in an Italian bakery making bread. $0.29 a loaf, now they cost about 15 times that.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! You have made me hungry now with all this talk of Italian food!
ReplyDeleteWell Luigi is certainly keeping an eye on things. Morning coffee sounds great. MB
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a great Italian restaurant!
ReplyDelete.Yum! Sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteEspresso and cannoli sounds great. I've seen luigi or his brother in front of restaurants in many places. :-)
ReplyDeleteDo they FedEx?
