MOOSE AND SQUIRREL
This is a member of our pet family that doesn't reside in the home. His name is Carter (as in Jimmy Carter for those of you old enough to remember). He, and his ancestors, have been entertaining us for about 8 years now. Many people consider squirrels to be rats with tails. Apparently, they never saw Ratatouille. While Carter is not a gourmet cook, he can fly and make a perfect upside down landing, slice and dice peanuts, and wake us up if we have overslept. He does provide free entertainment and that is nothing to shake a peanut at.

pretty blog.
ReplyDeleteHello pet Carter!!!
ReplyDeleteCarter, how funny. Big teeth, huh. Very entertaining! MB
ReplyDelete'Are you talking to me?' :-) Great shot!
ReplyDeleteOlder enough: Carter, peanuts, Georgia... My first trip to the States, in 1979, was welcomed by Hurricane David near Savannah.
ReplyDeleteI love squirrels, but here they live only in a park normally closed to the public.
I love Ratatouille! Now that I have finally found a bird feeder that is truly squirrel-proof, I do not mind them at all. They are fun to watch and they drive my cat crazy by coming right up to the backdoor and taunting her! That's a great name too. I would name mine, but I have too many to try and keep track of them.
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo! We've got these little whatever-you-call 'ems all over the backyard but I can't get a decent shot of them! This is super.
ReplyDeleteFunny commentary, too. You ever do stand-up?
That must make sitting outside so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the name. I've always been a Jimmy Carter fan. Squirrels on the Common and Public Garden in Boston are so used to people, if you stop to look at something they come over and sit up and beg for food.
ReplyDeleteFun to watch the clownish antics of these little acrobats. We have to live with them, we might as well enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot...is it a love of peanuts that's the connection to President Carter...or is it something in this little guy's character?
ReplyDeleteHE is cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
It is unfair that someone says this nice squirrel is a kind of rat :-(

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Not having squirrels (but plenty of other wildlife!) it's always interesting seeing squirrels on fences....a bit like cats, really!
ReplyDeleteSydney Daily Photo
It looks surprised, probably because of the camera in your hand.
ReplyDeleteI love to watch the squirrels. They provide unfailing entertainment.
ReplyDeleteWell, Carter would be more than welcome at our house. We love all our wild life and the squirrels are just so hilarious, how can you not love them?
ReplyDeleteNice little fella. Rats with tails, that doesn't seem fair.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that something! He is very nice and looks to be in fidget and hurry ! How on earth you managed to take a picture of him?!
ReplyDeleteThat squirrel is posing!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely capture, timely I should say!
