OLD MAN AND THE SEA
Here is a man fishing at the beach. You don't see much of this anymore. Too many people and not enough beach. I used to do a lot of diving off this beach. You would be amazed at what you can see. If the tourists could see what's in the water, they wouldn't venture very far. Sharks, Rays, huge schools of fish;it's their world, after-all.

beautifully composed and shot!
ReplyDeleteHello, I visit your blog with sympathy. The topic of today ... the marine animals, are a passionate subject to me, I have so many documentaries of this topic.
ReplyDeleteToo many people, not enough beach and dwindling fish. Nice shot.
ReplyDeletevery nice photo and commentary. I had not realized how many sharks and rays might be closer to shore. I love snorkeling but only in calm waters so I have not put on my mask in the waves of the beach and I guess I should do so. It might be scary as it is dark and eery under the crashing waves. I do like to watch sharks. I got in a shark cage for about 20 minutes n the north shore of Hawaii and it was absolutely captivating to watch the bull sharks. They would bang into the cage and would be all around me. A truly mesmerizing experience. I am glad you enjoyed the Chihuly Saffron Tower on my site for theme day. I have a daytime photo of the Saffron Tower up today. Thanks for your comments.
ReplyDeleteGee! Even "sharks"!
ReplyDeleteI think I couldn't fish there! :-))

I bet the water is very cold!Great post!
Kind Regards

I appreciate the image and the tone of your post. There are many "tourists" in this world, not only in the Sunshine State. But probably I'm going beyond your words.
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition! I would dive there, it must be awsome according to your description!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely portrait - really atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteI like the color of this photo
ReplyDeleteTry flying over Pensacola Beach, from above you can see all kinds of scary things not too far off shore. I'm sure Mr Man was having a fine time of it.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is the diver and she has related the same story...
ReplyDeleteThe perfect way to relax on the beach.
