I'M LATE, I'M LATE ...

While taking a leisurely walk the other day, I happened upon this charming fellow. He was somewhat agitated, so I inquired as to why. He continued to tell me that the most dreaded holiday for a Turkey is this week. After I stopped laughing, I let him know that he was misinformed and he would have another four months to work on a disguise. He thanked me for setting him straight and hurried off to tell the rest of his siblings the good news. He said they would probably have a feast and he would over-eat and probably put on a little weight. I just smiled and told him that I hoped so.

  2. Brilliant fellow, a bit on the thin side but, as you wrote, he's working on it.

  3. I'm glad somebody talks to Turkeys. They always seem to need a little reassuring. Turkey Lurkey

  4. Thanks for reminding me to make travel arrangements for my son to be home for Thanksgiving, the most dreaded travel week. I'm sure I'll get just as agitated as this bird.

  5. It looks big, I think I would have jumped back if I saw him. Never seen a turkey in the wild before. My mama used to call me a jive turkey though....in the 70s....she's a dork like me.
