ALICE...
Most busstops are dirty glass cages;unattractive and usually in need of some T.L.C. I thought this one was interesting. Looks more like a park bench than anything else. I could see someone sitting here reading a good book and not caring if the bus shows up or not.

so nice and laidback!
ReplyDelete..and knowing how public transportation works, the person sitting on the bench is about as likely to be picked up as it is likely for the Official FTLDP Staff Car to make it across town without a breakdown...
ReplyDelete«Louis» greatly appreciates your including the link to his coffee website!
I like this quite different bus stop very much.
ReplyDeleteI love that an umbrella is provided for shade but notice there is not much shade falling on the bench. Perhaps that's why it's empty.
ReplyDeleteA very inviting and unique place to wait for a bus!
ReplyDeleteIt is a cute bench! I've never seen one quite like it. Only in Ft Lauderdale!!
ReplyDeleteThis would be a very, very hot place to sit and wait for a bus during a Fort Lauderdale summer!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I am in Wonderland at times. But I have to catch the bus to get there. MB
ReplyDeleteThe umbrella doesn't appear to be casting any shade on the bench. I've seen benches just like that in Beaverton, Ontario. Are you sure this is Ft. Lauderdale?
ReplyDeleteAh yes, I can slip right into THAT fantasy!
ReplyDeleteNice spot to wait ...
ReplyDeleteAre you quite sure it's a bus stop?
ReplyDeleteVery clean and cheery. No graffiti. Something is wrong here...
ReplyDeleteVery nice bus stop
ReplyDeleteOur glass cages usually have an advert for a film. I don't know if it's a jinx or just coincidence, but I've never seen any film advertised at a bus stop end up as anything but a critical and financial failure.
ReplyDeleteIt's an unsual bench with looped arms, and it looks more comfortable than many. I like your take on the busstop as lounge.
