AND THAT'S NO FLUKE

This is the second whale wind vane I have seen in this area. I am beginning to think we have a lot of transplants from Nantucket. It is pretty impressive and has a beautiful patina. If you squint just a little bit, the leviathan appears to be swimming in the ocean blue.

  1. Looks very in harmony with the sky :-) How does look the building? Any marine themes?
    Grilled whale. Just a thought.

  2. That's one of the nicest weather vanes I've ever seen. I don't think I've encountered a whale before.

    Where Colombus sailed in 1492?

  8. I love your wind vanes, B Squared, and have a small collection I should share some day too. I have also seen whale wind vanes on the Great Lakes. Those Nantucket people sure are mobile!

  14. Nicely done! In fact, it's a whale of a picture! I can see it swimming in that deep blue Nantucket water!

  15. Such a varied lot, wind vanes. We see mostly roosters or ducks in this area.

Glad you stopped by today. I'd gotten a bit disconnected from my blogging friends of late. Hope you have a delightful day!
