AND THAT'S NO FLUKE
This is the second whale wind vane I have seen in this area. I am beginning to think we have a lot of transplants from Nantucket. It is pretty impressive and has a beautiful patina. If you squint just a little bit, the leviathan appears to be swimming in the ocean blue.

Looks very in harmony with the sky :-) How does look the building? Any marine themes?
ReplyDeleteGrilled whale. Just a thought.
That's one of the nicest weather vanes I've ever seen. I don't think I've encountered a whale before.
ReplyDeleteI remember the first one. This second whale is also beautiful!I also loved the perfect blue sky in this picture.

ReplyDeleteWhere Colombus sailed in 1492?
I love your wind vanes, B Squared, and have a small collection I should share some day too. I have also seen whale wind vanes on the Great Lakes. Those Nantucket people sure are mobile!
ReplyDeleteNice humpback in the sky.
ReplyDeleteNo, its definitely a whale!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a great 'blue' background for the whale! LoL!
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been visiting (or posting) lately... I've been engrossed in a series of books! LoL!
That whale has weathered very well!

ReplyDeleteHe is lovely! I especially like the nice patina.
ReplyDeleteGood thing it isn't as heavy as the real thing.
ReplyDeleteOf all the things a whale... This is one of your best!
ReplyDeleteNicely done! In fact, it's a whale of a picture! I can see it swimming in that deep blue Nantucket water!
ReplyDeleteIt does! How cool! :-D
ReplyDeleteSuch a varied lot, wind vanes. We see mostly roosters or ducks in this area.
ReplyDeleteGlad you stopped by today. I'd gotten a bit disconnected from my blogging friends of late. Hope you have a delightful day!
