WEDNESDAY DOORWAY: NORTH OCEAN BLVD.
This is an interesting door that is, obviously, a one of a kind. By enlarging the photo, you will understand why I won't be giving you a shot from the 'other side.' Sorry for the framing. This home sits on a very busy street and the Yugo's brakes never really bring the car to a complete stop. So I have little time to frame and shoot;usually, it is one or the other.

Oh if you think I"m buying that Yugo excuse.... well never mind. The door is one of a kind!

Oh, but we have one in Astoria that's identical.
ReplyDeleteThat's a spontaneous great shot, the door look so friendly, even though the sign.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I need one of those for my yard, my dogs are always bad.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! The door and the house look way too cute for a "bad dog" to live there!!
ReplyDeleteFunny doorway! I wonder what kind of people do live there... :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is so fantastic and nice !!
ReplyDeletehee hee
ReplyDeleteYou confused the frequency with which the Yugo BREAKS with the Yugo's BRAKES!
;-)
so colorful!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! but I think you should check and see how really BAD the dog is. someone down in town has a garage door painted similar. MB
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you weren't tempted to include the "bad dog" in the photo. Yes, a one-of-a-kind door.
ReplyDeleteThat door is so attractive! I guess they had to make up for the bad dog behind it.
ReplyDeleteDoesnt your Yugo come with the floor opening so you can put your feet down to help stop it? Or was that optional on your model?
ReplyDeleteCute doorway, but I don't know what you're afraid of...that Yugo would scare off any bad dog. Prob'ly!
ReplyDeleteOh how poetic!
ReplyDeleteWednesday Doorway to the best of my knowledge is totally informal. No links, nothing. I started after Clueless in Boston's weekly doorways.
LOL! What a riot!
ReplyDeleteLovely door, very pretty--makes me expect great things behind it.
After your explanation, I finally understand the term 'drive-by shooting'...
ReplyDeletethe owners of this door are giving a very mixed message: welcoming vines and flowers and then the Beware sign.
ReplyDeleteLove the addition of the adjective, "bad"--that should do the trick. Love the looks of the gate.
ReplyDeletePs. I've been travelling back to Mn. the past few days without ready access to the internet; therefore I haven't been commenting very much. I'm still posting from Santa fe since I scheduled it before we left. Hope to be back soon!
What a great door! The owner must have a very free spirit!

The bad dog door gets across the message! Love the Yugo. Was just explaining to a teen the other day about Yugos when we saw one. My observation; big and tall men are attracted to Yugos! Haven't seen you in your FLDP--mobile yet! What year is it?

Staying away from bad dogs is probably a good idea, but I have to agree with you that you should have framed this a bit different.
ReplyDeleteSo whimsical!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and nice shot !!
ReplyDeleteHow funny that they've identified it as a "bad" dog.
ReplyDeleteKnock, knock! Who's there?
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet door!
