WEDNESDAY DOORWAY: PASSAGE TO WHIMSEY
I would love to paint my granddaughter's bedroom door just like this. Pretty colors, wonderful thoughts, what's not to like? This is actually a retail establishment on the main outdoor shopping district in the city. What child wouldn't love to se what's on the other side?

Everyone should grow up with Pooh and Piglet!
ReplyDeleteI am afraid it could be difficult to spot this door for the first time :-))
ReplyDeleteYou said it perfectly: this is so beautiful and almost inviting, even for an adult...
ReplyDeleteThat is cute. I painted my children's room with a village scene, a puffy cloud sky; hope the subsequent owners of our apartment kept all that.
ReplyDeleteSo charming. And I love the colour too. Gorgeous feel to this. Any child would adore it.
ReplyDeleteB Squared, make inquiries about the artist and hire them. You will support a struggling artist and give your granddaughter a magical gift.
ReplyDeleteChildren will love that!
ReplyDeleteHas your granddaughter seen the door? And, what's stopping you from adding whimsy to her bedroom door?!
ReplyDeleteThe kid in me wants to know what's on the other side.
ReplyDeleteindeed!
ReplyDeleteso pretty!
EG Wow beat «Louis» to it...
ReplyDeleteSo what is painted on the doors of the local Yugo dealership?
Looks really cute. I would have liked to have a wall like these as a little girl.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to see what's on the other side!
ReplyDeleteEnticing! The adult in me suspects a storage room; the child in me just wants to imagine.
ReplyDeleteMy mom (an artist) painted murals on our walls when we were children - mine was a scene of the ocean floor, with many magical creatures...
Oh Pooh!
ReplyDeletechildren & adults alike!
ReplyDeleteI'd need to be your granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I didn't get your comment about a guest poster... Duh, I'm thick, I know...
definitely pretty! If only we could please our grandchildren the way we wish to. (And other children too.)
ReplyDeleteWell, you could have your granddaughter's bedroom door painted just like this if 1) you could locate the artist, and 2) had enough money to pay for it.
ReplyDeleteSo go for it!
I love that and you're right, it would make a great mural for a child.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it. I really like murals of most any kind. Usually they are indoors. But I like this one.
ReplyDeleteI think a girls bedroom painted like this would be wonderful. Go ahead and do it. MB
