WEDNESDAY DOORWAY: PASSAGE TO WHIMSEY

I would love to paint my granddaughter's bedroom door just like this. Pretty colors, wonderful thoughts, what's not to like? This is actually a retail establishment on the main outdoor shopping district in the city. What child wouldn't love to se what's on the other side?

  4. That is cute. I painted my children's room with a village scene, a puffy cloud sky; hope the subsequent owners of our apartment kept all that.

  6. B Squared, make inquiries about the artist and hire them. You will support a struggling artist and give your granddaughter a magical gift.

  12. Enticing! The adult in me suspects a storage room; the child in me just wants to imagine.
My mom (an artist) painted murals on our walls when we were children - mine was a scene of the ocean floor, with many magical creatures...

  16. Well, you could have your granddaughter's bedroom door painted just like this if 1) you could locate the artist, and 2) had enough money to pay for it.

    So go for it!
