THE BROTHERS GRIMM ARE SMILING

This particular architectural treatment resembles a facade. Since it is on the side of the building, it does not officially qualify as a facade. In fact, it is strictly ornamental. The doors do not open and Rapunzel  will never let down her golden hair from above. But,  it certainly adds character to an otherwise ordinary side of a building. Kudos to the person responsible for doing this. I smile every time I pass by.

  1. Great idea relized with a few simple things. The effect is quite good on the building and the funny part has to be kept in mind!

  7. Interesting. I think I would like it better if it did open. Or, they could put a cutout of a woman with long hair?

  14. I think it looks like one of those closing doors over a moat.

But let us know if Rapunzel makes an appearance!
