RUSHING INTO FALL

The beach is a deserted place today. The kids are back in school, the summer residents are closing their homes, there's a chill in the air. The shelves in the grocery store are being stocked with Halloween candy. One season is about to end and another begin. The cycle continues. So many good times were had and will be remembered again and again. The chairs await next summer's occupants, it's really not that far off you know. Memories to be made and told and retold. Again and again.

  1. Nice view of the deserted beach, and your words are perfectly descriptive of the between-seasons mood.

  19. Nice prose I identify with. Yes, I agree, (over-the-top) Death in Venice was moving, and with the music unforgetable

  21. I'd love being in one of those chairs with the beach all to myself - that and a good book and a cold drink. :)
