SKYWATCH - ONLY THE LONELY
Doesn't it just figure. The summer residents have left, the tourists have left, the town is all but deserted. And what happens, we are treated to the most beautiful day of the summer. A perfect SKYWATCH day. A light breeze and a calm Bay. Not a soul here to partake but me. Life is good!

Oh, wow! look at those clear, clear blue skies!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous shot!
Have a great weekend!
Sylvia
Sounds like a "Motels" song. The blue sky and water against the green grass and trees works very well
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a perfect day. I don't know - I think I would really enjoy the solitude in a setting like this!
ReplyDeleteAt least you're there. Enjoy the beautiful weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenic snap.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Shot.. I miss living in Destin, Florida for reasons like this picture
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue in the background!
ReplyDeleteIt's exactly how I like the sand and sea - all to myself.
Perhaps you wouldn't mind if I just sat there on the end of one of those little piers. I promise to be real quite. :)
Relax and enjoy. Being the only 'me' around can be wonderful. Nice shot. MB
ReplyDeleteMother Nature was saving it just for you guys!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies.
ReplyDeleteHave lived in tourist towns for much of my life and there is much to be celebrated when the crowds go home. Lucky you to enjoy that lovely sunny afternoon.
beautiful blue....
ReplyDeleteYour photo made me smile awhile and your words of truth made me LOL :)
ReplyDeleteTime to peace! Wonderful blue sky!
ReplyDeleteLéia ;)
It's a beautiful serene setting for an anniversary of tragic proportions when NYC was rocked by the Twin Towers fall. I still feel profound sadness for the victims and those left behind to grieve. So....your photo is a welcome scene.
ReplyDeleteSummer has just begun here in Ontario too. I feel sad for anyone in the tourist industry this year.
ReplyDeleteSuch a calm and serene azure blue sea. A spectacular scene.
ReplyDeleteThe sky is so crystal clear!

Great place to relax on the dock.
ReplyDeleteGreat photograph. I wish I were there.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fine to me and somewhat familiar...
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you! I'm sure you're enjoying the peace and solitude.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! How nice that you have it all to yourself.
ReplyDeleteI would enjoy the quiet and serene of such a place. Most time, so many people you cannot enjoy it as much. Continue to enjoy while you can and share more great photos.
ReplyDeleteThis is where you spent your summer? You lucky dog! (I think I've said that before!) Glad you're not complaining...it's still hot and humid in South Florida...we're getting a bit cooler up here, but it will be another couple weeks before we can open the windows and night...
ReplyDeleteClear sky and a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteNice beautiful sky!
ReplyDeleteA perfect day
ReplyDeleteI think I would prefer your winter, myself. Does the perfect day include a temperature of about 70 degrees?
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with being lonely with a day like that. I would revel that it was only me!
ReplyDeleteI'd say that's a perfect kind of day!

ps. It's fun linking songs to pictures :)
Wow! If I understand well, you took this beautiful photo today..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clear sky! Sweet!
ReplyDeletePeople gone? It sucks for the ants and mosquitos.
ReplyDeletesimply beautifully captured shot....lovely!
ReplyDeletesimply beautifully captured shot....lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou must be enjoying the peace and quiet! It looks beautiful there!
ReplyDeletethis is a beautiful image with such vibrant colors and so inviting to sit down with a glass of wine ant take it all in. Thanks for your comments on my site about the photos from my photography tour to Vermillion Cliffs and Slot Canyons. I have many more coming up and the slot canyon photos are truly amazing. It was quite a trip. And I am not sure i would have stood on the edge if I had been by myself. The peer pressure of fellow photography students probably gave me more courage to capture the image.
ReplyDeleteThe sky is really 'summerly'. Enjoy the silence.
ReplyDeleteI'm not that lucky here... yet! September is still a beach busy month...
ReplyDeleteWhen you get your home patch to yourself it's blissful!
ReplyDeletethe best thing's you can enjoy the view in whatever way you like. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny how nature seems to know our moods and needs better than we do. This scene just appears perfect and begs one to stop and relax.
ReplyDeleteI thought the stone wall assemblage was very cool and mysterious. Did you find out what it is??
