The cake is from MIKES AMAZING CAKES of Redmond, Washington. His artistry is beyond comprehension. And yes, it is a cake.

CINCO de HOLD THE MAYO
Today is Cinco de Mayo. People assume that this is a Mexican holiday that is celebrated in many parts of the world. This is not true. The real cause for celebration is that it is MY BIRTHDAY. I am eternally grateful to all those people that will consume vast quantities of food and alcohol on this day that I have never met. To show my appreciation, I offer the photo above. It is not mine, and it is not what it appears to be. What is it you ask? Well my friends, it is a cake. I'd like to think of it as my birthday cake that I would like to share with each of you as a way of saying thank you for stopping by and commenting on this site. So refrain from song and grab a cyber fork, let the party begin.

Happy birthday!!
ReplyDeleteI'll have some cake - but only if it's chocolate!
Happy Birthday....
ReplyDeleteThat is an unbelievable cake! Happy Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Bill! Your cake is lovely, too bad it's only a photo! But maybe it's best this way, it would be a pity to cut into such a work of art!
ReplyDeleteThat's one hell of a cake! And you must be one hell of a guy to have so many people around the world celebrating your birthday.
ReplyDeleteI'll drink to that!
Happy Birthday! I'll drink a shot in your honor tonight. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I will try to down a few beers in your honour!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to youuuuu....! And many more. I'd hate to cut that cake, it's so gorgeous, but on the other hand, the older you get, the more you realize things don't last forever, so pass me a slice, please.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy and generous way to celebrate your birthday, 2B. I'm in total agreement that the cake is incomparable. My fork is already gooey...
ReplyDeleteHope that you had a great birthday. This photo demonstrates well that "art" comes in different shapes and forms. An amazing cake, and the creator is an artist.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday! Yesterday was also my daughters birthday. I remember the doctor playing Mexican music in the delivery room as I was giving birth! We live in San Diego and every Mexican restaurant was packed last night!
ReplyDeleteShould we assume that you are a connoisseur of fine wine rather than Coronas? Glad you had a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday! I don't think I'd have the heart to eat that cake, I'd feel bad cutting it up.
ReplyDeleteA belated happy birthday from Villigen! Many happy returns!
