ATHENA-GODDESS OF THE SEA

May I present, ATHENA. She is a Superyacht and she is awesome. At 295 feet(90 meters), she is the largest private sailing yacht in the world. This is as close to her as I could get. By clicking ATHENA, you will be directed to a site with pictures and loads of information on her. She was made in Holland, is a 3-masted schooner and is breath taking to behold.

    - Where were you last night, dear?
    - I went looking for you and then fell asleep in cabin 23

  10. Zounds! Our friends have a 46 foot sailboat that I thought was large...this is amazing...can you imagine what it takes to get that thing underway and stay underway!

    Certainly is gorgeous, though!

  14. Such an excellent photo of a majestic Superyacht, Gorgeous! Also, I enjoy all of the humor in your shots and commentary. they make me laugh. Thanks for all of your comments on my site. I am glad you like the cactus flower. Sorry for the delay in responding. Work has been a major distraction at the moment. I did get to my full moon photography class Friday night and I tried out the tips with the full moon on Saturday night. I will have a nightscape series during the next week.

  15. Nice little boat Bill! There are quite a few shipyards here that build yachts for the super rich. It doesn't really fit in with our general culture of not showing off too much of your wealth, but then most of the ships are exported.
