HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

This is number two in our series of what people put in their front yards. During the last decade, people have been buying houses, tearing them down, and erecting what we affectionately refer to as McMansions. They usually build a house that is larger than the original one and considerably bigger than the lot was designed for. Thus, less yard and greenery. You are looking at the entire front yard of this oceanfront home. So, they personalize it by putting their art work on the wall separating their yard from the neighbor's. It is a rather interesting sculpture of a garden. No weeding, fertilizing, or watering. Looks perfect every day of the year. Found, the eternal Spring.

  5. It kind of reminds me of something you might find at a hotel.

  6. It is kind of pretty, but it seems to me that the art work, like the house, is a little over-sized.

  7. B2,
When I lived there the yards were very small. I can't fathom a Mc Mansion on any of them! This wall........it's not working for me! HA

  12. It's a great idea I must say, though it's a little too colourful for my liking!

  13. People are doing the same thing here. Quaint old neighbourhoods are spoiled by ostentatious behemoths on postage-stamp lots. And then two people move in. WHY!? Perhaps these people hate nature and feel they need to be shielded from it...well, maybe.

  14. Oh I really love this! Beautiful. Though I think it would look even better if there were a few real flowers on that grassy patch in front of the wall.

  17. It's easier than real flowers all right. Pretty art work, but I think I'd prefer a smaller house, more yard, and real flowers.

  18. Well, first, I love the new format. Well played! Second, the yard art is intriguing. This is expensive stuff. It reminds me that I need to photograph a really cool metal fence...

  19. Well I like the sculpture/artwork though I'd rather have the real thing. We call the monstrous mansions 'Barbie Homes'...because so many of them are pink and perfect!
